광주비엔날레 파빌리온 (Gwangju Biennale Pavilion)은 국내외 미술 및 문화 기관의 네트워크 확장을 목표로 2018년 3개 기관의 참여로 시작하였다. 파빌리온의 규모와 참여 기관수는 꾸준히 성장하여 2023년에는 9개로 늘어났고, 2024년 제15회 광주비엔날레 파빌리온에는 30여개의 국가, 도시, 기관 등 다양한 창의적 예술주체가 참여하며 양림동과 동명동 일대를 비롯한 광주 전역에 31개 파빌리온이 자리를 잡는다.
광주비엔날레 파빌리온은 《판소리, 모두의 울림》(Pansori, a soundscape of the 21st century)과 공명하면서도 다른 각도의 시선을 보여줄 수 있는 특색 있는 전시를 구축함으로써 풍부한 볼거리와 담론을 생산한다. 다양한 행사와 프로그램은 관람자들의 예술 경험을 확장하며 지역사회에 상상력을 불어 넣는다.
The Gwangju Biennale Pavilion was initiated in 2018 with the participation of three institutions, aiming to expand the network of domestic and international art and cultural organizations. The Pavilion's scale and the number of participating institutions have steadily grown, increasing to nine in 2023. By 2024, the 15th Gwangju Biennale Pavilion will feature 31 pavilions spread throughout Gwangju, including areas such as Yangrim-dong and Dongmyeong-dong, with participation from various creative art entities across over 30 countries, cities, and institutions.
The Gwangju Biennale Pavilion will resonate with the theme of the main exhibition, Pansori, a soundscape of the 21st century, while constructing distinctive exhibitions that offer perspectives from different angles. This approach will create a rich tapestry of visual experiences and generate engaging discourse. Additionally, a variety of events and programs will expand visitors' artistic experiences and infuse the local community with imaginative vitality.
